Boots to a blank screen

Question:

During boot up, my machine stops with a blinking cursor in the upper left hand corner of the screen. Can this be resolved without sending the machine in for repair?

Answer:

The main reason this occurs is because your hard drives do not have an operating system loaded. You will need to load the operating system disk into the CD drive and reload your operating system. Once the operating system has been reloaded the machine should function fine.
